Who We Are

Soroptimist International of Roseville

Improving the lives of women and girls, in our community and throughout the world.

SOROPTIMIST HISTORY

The first Soroptimist club was formed in 1921 by a group of 80 women in Oakland, California. These women chose the name Soroptimist from two Latin words meaning “best for women.” In November of 1953, 20 women from the Roseville area became charter members of Soroptimist International of Roseville.
